[REVIEW] Elysium

Elysium Poster.jpg

Matt Damon and Jodie Foster played together in the sci-fi movie. Pretty good

Synopsis:
In the year 2159, mankind is divided into 2. Rich and poor. Poor people living on earth with the bad conditions and dirty air while the rich lived in a luxurious space station called Elysium. Max (Matt Damon) one of the worker that got radiation at work. He wanted to go to Elysium to cure the illness even though it meant he had to commit a crime.

The premise of this movie is already used in many films like Hunger Games. This film remains unique mainly from his own poster we will wonder why Matt Damon into a robot. Although in this film a lot of terms science and tend rambling, this film can still be followed.

Matt Damon showed surprising physical changes. His head is bald and his body becomes good (not fat like in the informant). His Acting can be no doubt as well as Jodie Foster who has won Oscar two times. The disturbing thing in this film is Jodie Foster’s accent ... so unnatural. That's it.

This film has a lot of values such as caring and helping each other. Surely political story also complete the film. The film also closed with a great ending.

[REVIEW] SE7EN (1995)

Seven (movie) poster.jpg

In 1995, David Fincher the master of trailer makes the movie that are very stressful, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman

Synopsis:
Detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) with the new detective, Detective David Millis to solve a murder case that inspired from the seven deadly sins in the Bible. Their searching have difficulty because the real killer is a genius and cautious

David Fincher is an expert in the thriller. He can built tense atmosphere perfectly. Typical David Fincher, the film has a dark lighting to add to the atmosphere gloomy. The victims described so terrible. When watching this film we are also invited to participate in solving the case.

David Fincher is also an expert for the twist ending and make the audience by surprise. It seems like almost every movie he always brings a surprising ending.

Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman’s acting is excellent as a pair of detectives. Brad Pitt's expression when the ending is remembered until now especially his quotes "WHAT'S IN THE BOX". Even the quotes that has become famous meme

Se7en is one of the best David Fincher’s movie. The storyline is fast, not too complicated and closed with a good ending.

[REVIEW] The Intern (2015)

The Intern Poster.jpg

This film combines the two actors and actresses of different generations. Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro

Synopsis:

Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro) 70-year-old retiree in felt empty his life. He decided to follow the senior intern program at About That Fit owned by Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway). As the running time, they develop bond of friendship between them.

Remember the Devil Wears Prada? Well this time Anne Hathaway becomes the big boss, but not as bad as in Devil Wears Prada of course. The film is very sweet and warm. Not much conflict or excessive drama. This film makes the conflict is highly relevant to the real world, especially the world of work. Suitable watched with your colleagues.

Robert De Niro usually plays tough guy, acting as an old man who is quiet, wise and sensitive. He looks so adorable. Unexpectedly he was able to build a good chemistry with Anne Hathaway as a friend. I always smile with their interactions.

Does not always require a complicated and hard story to make a good movie. The intern proves that light and simple story can captivate audience

[REVIEW] Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015)

Hotel Transylvania 2 poster.jpg

Every success animation, comes a sequel

Synopsis: Dracula opens Hotel Transylvania for humans yet another conflict arises in that hotel. Mavis, Dracula’s daughter gave birth to a son named Dennis. Dennis did not show signs of being a vampire and makes dracula worry.

Overall, the story of the hotel transylvania not too good. Too much humor and making this film boring. This movie has repeated joke that is not funny anymore towards the end of the film. Too much slapstick comedy too. I prefer a minion compared this film

Adam Sandler as the voice of Dracula is able to make us laugh with his made-up European accent. The voice in the film is reminiscent of the movie Grown Ups. The film also stars Selena Gomez as the voice of Mavis.

Although the story in this film is not so good, it has very impressive animation techniques. Dennis looks so adorable. It looks like the market for this movie is only for children and less can be enjoyed for adults
