In 2015 spy movie success to get the attention of movie lovers start
from Kingsman, Spy and Spectre. The Man from Uncle also prove that spy movie is
still fun to watch
Synopsis:
This film is set during the Cold War between America and Russia.
CIA agent named Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) must work together with Russian
KGB agent named Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) to prevent the very dangerous
bomb for the safety of mankind.
Seen from the director of this film, which is Guy Ritchie, the
film certainly will not disappointed. In accordance with the typical Guy
Ritchie, lot of flashback back sound that good and other unique features. For
more details, you may be able to watch his other movies like Sherlock Holmes. This
film is also very fashionable and several times mentioned the clothing brand.
It may sound less important, but for me this is one of the good points of this
film.
The story of the film is quite light and not too heavy. Typical
spy movie, there is always sophisticated gadgets and incredible action. This
film slipped humor and make this movie fun to watch. Cold relationship between
the United States and Russia are described clearly in this movie and it looks
very funny when the America and Russia agent several times call each other
nicknames like `communism 'and` cowboy'.
Chemistry between Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer is good as
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in 21 jump street but with more serious and
elegant version. They both can act and work together well Henry Cavill succeed free from his role as
Superman and became cool American Spy. Alicia Vikander who plays woman mechanic
also steal the attention in this film. This Swedish actress is able to compete
with Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer in the film.
The Man from UNCLE is an adaptation of the TV series with the
same title. I think this film is one of the great spy movie and is very
exciting. Possible rival of this film is Kingsman that aired in February 2015
My rating
72%
PS: if you watch carefully, there is a cameo from David Beckham
as a projectionist (SPOILER ALERT)
